One recent summer day, Gloria and I had free tickets to a show at the local children's theater. We attend shows there quite often, but I decided to make a day of it.
For one thing, it's summer time and we needed an "adventure."
For another thing, auditions for the next season of American Idol were being held across the street from our destination and there were lots of warnings about parking and traffic woes.
Step one of the adventure: Avoid traffic and parking woes along with steep parking fees by riding the light rail uptown.
Step two: Read every word of the family guide before the show begins. Then enjoy the show.
Step three: Fill Momma's pink Vandy tote bag with library books to fill one's time for the next few days. Then play on the letters outside.
|This quote is so true for both of us..."If reading one good book is fun, reading four must be quadruple the pleasure. Two hard covers and two paperbacks carelessly snuggle about me in the hammock." Just wish we had a hammock...|
It was a perfect day...just the kind of day I enjoy with my girl!
