Thanks for stopping by! We were a family of three, until we added one more (cat, that is), making us a family of four. In 2012, we added four more...one husband, two girls, and a dog. We have a full plate as a party of eight!

Adoption, blended families, pets, school, running...it's all here. Pull up a chair and read a while. After you do, please leave a little comment love! It makes me happy...and y'all know...if Momma is happy, then everyone is happy...at least at our house!

I'm Back

So...ummm...yeah...I haven't blogged for the past two months.

Bad blogger?
Maybe.

Didn't feel much like blogging?
Kinda.

Not sure what to blog about?
Yeah, that too.

Just needed to sit back and be quiet for a little while and let life happen?
Pretty much.

But if I had blogged?

It might have been to show you how this bedroom...
was once green, with yellow floral bedspread and curtains.

But now it is grey with a grey and white bedspread and red accents.

And I love it!
~~~~~~~~~~~
Or I could have told you that my sweet G is now ten.
Yep.  You read that right.
Ten.
Double digits.
Two hands full.
1-0.
10.
Sheesh!  How did that happen?
~~~~~~~~~~

Or I could have told you about a weekend getaway to Asheville that Brian and I had last weekend.
Where we took precisely three pictures while we were at the Biltmore.

And experienced the most nerve-wracking, nail biting, I'm-not-sure-I-remembered-to-breathe
driving conditions I have ever been in.
It still makes me feel physically ill to think about it.

It snowed while we were out to dinner...
The snow melted...
and promptly froze into a solid sheet of ice.

Our drive back to the bed and breakfast where we were staying should have taken twenty minutes...
at the most!
It took almost NINETY minutes of creeping along, a little slipping, a little sliding, and a whole lot of silent prayer on my part.

While I can't wait to go back to Asheville in the spring
(to use our annual passes at the Biltmore)
I don't ever want to experience THAT again!
~~~~~~~~~~
Soooo....that about sums up the past two months.
And now, hopefully I'm back...
We'll see how it goes.
